Wendy Hansen

Political Science Professor, University Of New Mexico

Dr. Wendy L. Hansen is a Professor in the Political Science Department at the University of New Mexico. With expertise in decision-making behavior of policy- makers, individuals, and corporations, she has conducted extensive research in the areas of corporate political behavior and international trade politics and policy. Recent publications include, “The Effects of Citizens United on Corporate Spending in the 2012 Presidential Election” and “Campaign Finance in US Politics: An Era Without Limits” Her research has been funded by the Thornburg Foundation, the National Science Foundation, the Joyce Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy. She has served on the Political Science Advisory Panel at the National Science Foundation and the editorial boards of The Journal of Politics and the American Journal of Political Science. She holds a BA from Lawrence University and a PhD from the California Institute of Technology.
